Parliament changes (2050)

I hope in the late future the structure of our parliament is abolished and re-set similar to the USA where they, the public, get a chance to vote for the leader of the party they support. I believe this would allow only the very best to rise to the top. If you think about the way they choose now, its a handful of MPs picking thier mate, in my opinon of course. I welcome anyone to educate me more on the system, but to me if the parties had the chance to publisise the people who want to lead thier party, the exposure from the in house fight to become leader of said party would generate proper support from the people who will be voting conservative in the next election. So instead of getting someone you have to just acccept, you will get a true leader for said party and someone who will command great respect from his followers and hopefuly everyone else would then come together. This would also be invaluable experience of running a campaign and winning it!

 I am a supporter of neither party or any at this moment, as neither party has ever made me stand up and take notice. I'm looking for inspiration and up front leadership but all i ever see is school yard bickering. A true leader listens, takes notes and forms the best opinion from whoever has a point to make, it does not matter who makes the point, they will always be made, its how you respond to them that makes a truly great leader. If you were given sound advice from someone who may be construed as your enemy, do you cower and say rubbish or do you become a man and listen and use that advice in the best way you can?

I do hope someday this will happen,hopefully by 2050 and in my lifetime as it would reinvent politics in Britian as we know it.
